HERO COMPARITIVE ESSAY: Due by Friday, June 4th

Choose two examples: one from fiction or literature and one person from history or who is alive today and explain how each was or is called upon to display at least five of the characteristics of a hero.

• Thoughfullness

• Concern for others

REQUIREMENTS (you will be given 10-15 minutes each day in class to complete this essay):

1. At least 500 words
2. Typed, 1.5 inch line spacing
3. 12 pt font, Times, Helvetica or Arial
4. Must include a complete heading
5. Include footnotes, where appropriate
6. Save as "HERO"
7. Full and complete heading.
8. If more than one page, must include page numbering.
